THROWBACK THURSDAY: Marvin The Tap Dancing Horse was on PBS Kids from 2000-2002.
Marvin is a dancing brown horse with a black mane and tail who performs in Fast-Talking Jack’s carnival. He used to be in movies and on Broadway; his first big break was in the musical movie 43rd Street (a takeoff of 42nd Street), although he’s not proud of his performance in it. His hooves are tuxedo-themed and they make the tapping noises. He also wears a red bowtie around his neck. In the beginning of one of the episodes, it is taken off.
The show also includes: Stripes The Tiger, Elizabeth The Emotional Pig, Eddy Largo (Edward Larue III), Diamonds the Elephant, Fast-Talking Jack, Edna and more!
THROWBACK THURSDAY!
Before Chris and Martin were the “Wild Kratts,” they had a show on PBS called “Kratts’ Creatures.” Need I say more?
Oh… I do? Ok, here:
“It also featured Shannon Duff as Allison Baldwin and Ron Rubin as the voice of an animated anthropomorphic dinosaur. The show introduced its viewers to the world of animals. 50 episodes were produced in total. The show was first broadcast on PBS in 1994, as PBS stations carried the show until as late as 1998. Due to its popularity the show inspired an unofficial spinoff, Zoboomafoo, another show created by the Kratts, which premiered in early 1999.”

THROWBACK THURSDAY!
Jay Jay the Jet Plane takes place at the fictional Tarrytown Airport. Full of CGI characters, Jay Jay is joined by a few other younger planes, some older planes, ground vehicles and, of course, a few humans. It aired on PBS KIDS from 2001-2005.
Some say that Jay Jay was too similar to Thomas the Tank Engine… what do you think?
THROWBACK THURSDAY! While Cyberchase is still in reruns, the last season ended in 2010. Starring actors Gilbert Gottfried and Christopher Lloyd, the show taught its viewers math-based concepts. Check it out! http://www.pbs.org/parents/cyberchase/
