It’s Monday, this seemed appropriate:
Sesame Street Tackles Incarceration.
“Highlights from Sesame Street’s new initiative: Little Children, Big Challenges: Incarceration. Alex talks with Abby Cadabby, Rosita, and Sofia about his dad’s incarceration, real families with young children share their own experiences with parental incarceration, and an animation shows a family’s trip to visit a parent in prison.
Little Children, Big Challenges: Incarceration, a bilingual (English/Spanish) multimedia initiative, provides much-needed resources to support and comfort young children throughout their parents’ incarceration. Learn more athttp://www.sesamestreet.org/incarcera…”
THROWBACK THURSDAY!
Today’s submission comes from Kris Irvin: “My best friend and I dressed up as the aliens from Sesame Street back in 2006 for Halloween. She sewed the costumes herself. They were epic. The only problem was, the fur from the fabric got EVERYWHERE (including in our eyes!) still, they were definitely the best Halloween costumes ever.”

Sesame Street has been nominated for a Webby Award for the best “overall social presence.” We know of a certain cookie-loving monster who would be thankful for your vote. (Vote here: http://pv.webbyawards.com/nominees/social/general-excellence-categories/overall-social-presence — thanks!)
Congrats, Sesame Street! Make sure you vote!
In some alternate universe…

Didn’t want to go with Downton Street?
I personally would have assumed it would star Abby Cadabby as “Downton Abby” but hey, I’ll watch the upcoming spoof anyway!

Talk about Nightmare on Sesame Street! Elmo’s world is a lot scarier than it used to be now that the Sesame Street massacre has arrived thanks to artist Isaac Bidwell. Take a peek (but don’t make eye contact) with the monsters turned… uh I guess they stayed monsters… Click the pictures (if you dare) to see which movie is portrayed via puppet.
